A Christian Formation Resource

God Often Grows Us Through Different Spiritual Seasons

Our walk with Christ is dynamic rather than static. There are seasons when God awakens fresh spiritual hunger, seasons when He deepens our roots, seasons of significant change, and seasons where our lives begin bearing fruit for the benefit of others.

Encourager PATH is not intended to define who you are. Your identity is found in Jesus Christ alone. Instead, it offers a thoughtful way to reflect on your current season of growth and consider how the Holy Spirit may be inviting you to continue growing in faith, discipleship, and Christlike maturity.

Rather than placing people into permanent categories, PATH recognizes that spiritual formation is a lifelong journey. As we continue following Jesus, our season may change, mature, and develop over time.

The Four PATH Dimensions

Four Seasons Often Experienced in Spiritual Growth

Every believer experiences each of these dimensions throughout life, although one or two may describe your present season more accurately. Together they provide a framework for understanding how God continues to shape His people.

P

Pursuing

Growing spiritual hunger and a desire to know Christ more deeply.

This season is often marked by curiosity, renewed passion, questions, learning, and a desire to draw closer to God. People may sense God inviting them into deeper faith and greater dependence upon Him.

A

Abiding

Developing consistent rhythms of life with Christ.

During this season believers often become more deeply rooted through Scripture, prayer, worship, Christian community, and faithful spiritual practices that strengthen long-term growth.

T

Transforming

Responding to God’s ongoing work of change.

God frequently uses changing circumstances, relationships, conviction, obedience, and new opportunities to reshape our character and make us more like Jesus.

H

Harvesting

Allowing spiritual maturity to overflow into service.

As believers mature, God often opens opportunities to encourage, mentor, disciple, lead, and invest in others, allowing spiritual fruit to become a blessing beyond themselves.

A Guide, Not a Label

Receive Your Results with Wisdom and Humility

Encourager PATH is a reflection and formation resource. It cannot measure the depth of your relationship with God, determine your spiritual worth, or replace prayerful discernment and trusted Christian community.

Your results describe patterns that may be present in this season. They are not a permanent spiritual ranking or a prediction of where you will remain. God continues to form His people throughout every stage of life.

The healthiest use of PATH is to receive your profile as an invitation: notice what resonates, bring it before God in prayer, seek wise counsel when needed, and respond to the next faithful step the Holy Spirit places before you.
