KINGDOM VOYAGE

Module 5 | PARTICIPATE

My Next Faithful Step

Bringing the Journey Together

MODULE 5

My Next Faithful Step

Kingdom Voyage has brought us through a journey of receiving, discovering, practicing, and sharing. Now we bring those pieces together and ask what faithful participation might look like in this season of life.

BIG IDEA

God has formed, gifted, taught, and entrusted something to each of us. Participation begins by discerning what faithfulness looks like in this season—and then taking the next faithful step.

THE CORE QUESTION

Considering everything you have learned about Jesus, yourself, and Keys Vineyard, what is your next faithful step?

LOOKING BACK

Notice What God Has Already Been Showing You

The purpose of looking back is not simply to review what you have completed. We look back for clues that may help us recognize what faithfulness looks like next.

PARTICIPATE

My Next Faithful Step

Pause and Reflect

From RECEIVE: What do I want to remember about receiving life from Jesus?
From DISCOVER: What have I discovered about myself?
From PRACTICE: What practice or rhythm is helping me grow?
From SHARE: What am I learning about joining Jesus in His mission?

TWO MORE WINDOWS

Stewardship and Calling

WISE and GATE add two more perspectives to what you have already discovered. Remember: assessments provide language and clues. They do not determine your future.

WISE

What Has God Entrusted to Me?

WISE helps us reflect on how we steward what God has entrusted to us—including money, time, resources, responsibility, generosity, and opportunities for Kingdom faithfulness.

Stewardship is bigger than money.

Biblical stewardship includes the whole of life: time, abilities, spiritual gifts, experiences, relationships, financial resources, opportunities, and responsibilities.

GATE

Where Might I Participate?

GATE helps us consider calling, ministry direction, present opportunities, and faithful next steps in service. It gives us language for asking better questions about how God may be inviting us to participate.

A result is not an assignment.

Calling is discerned over time through prayer, Scripture, relationships, opportunities, service, wisdom, and the fruit that grows as we follow Jesus.

PUTTING THE PICTURE TOGETHER

Five Windows for Discernment

No single assessment tells your story. Together, these five windows can help you notice patterns, possibilities, and recurring themes.

DISC

How am I wired?

Notice personality tendencies, strengths, preferences, and ways you naturally approach people and situations.

GIFT

How might God work through me?

Notice ways God may use your gifts and strengths for the good of others and His Kingdom.

PATH

Where am I in my journey with Jesus?

Notice your present spiritual season and what God may be forming in you now.

WISE

What has God entrusted to me?

Notice the time, abilities, experiences, relationships, resources, responsibilities, and opportunities entrusted to you.

GATE

Where might I participate in God’s work?

Notice ministry directions and opportunities that may be worth exploring.

ASSESSMENT BECOMES DISCERNMENT

Look for Themes, Not Labels

Assessments become most useful when they lead to discernment.

Look for recurring themes rather than expecting every result to agree perfectly. Human beings are more complex than assessment categories.

What themes keep appearing across my results?

Where do I seem to come alive when helping other people?

What kinds of needs or opportunities do I naturally notice?

What have other people consistently affirmed in me?

What might God be inviting me to explore—not necessarily forever, but in this season?

You do not have to figure out your whole future today.

We are looking for the next faithful step. Clarity often grows while we serve, practice, learn, relate to others, and follow Jesus.

FROM DISCERNMENT TO PARTICIPATION

A Healthy Participation Path

The goal is not simply to find a slot to fill. We want to help you discover places where you can contribute, grow, build relationships, and participate in what God is doing through His people.

1

Discover

Notice interests, gifts, experiences, needs, and themes that point toward an area worth exploring.

→
2

Conversation

Talk with a real ministry leader or someone who understands the opportunity. Conversation comes before commitment.

→
3

Opportunity

Identify something concrete you could observe, attend, help with, or explore.

→
4

Try Something

When appropriate, serve alongside others before making a long-term commitment.

→
5

Coaching

Receive encouragement, feedback, answers, and help interpreting what you are learning.

→
6

Belonging

Build relationships and experience yourself as a contributing member of the body.

TRY SOMETHING

Sometimes the best way to discern whether an opportunity fits is simply to try it, serve alongside others, receive feedback, and pay attention to the fruit that grows.

WHOLE-LIFE STEWARDSHIP

Participation Is Bigger Than a Volunteer Role

Everything God entrusts to us can become part of faithful Kingdom life.

TIME

Where might God be inviting me to make room?

ABILITIES & GIFTS

What can I offer for the good of others?

EXPERIENCE

What have I lived through that may help someone else?

RELATIONSHIPS

Who has God placed around me?

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

What does faithful generosity look like for me?

OPPORTUNITIES

What door may already be open in front of me?

THE STEWARDSHIP QUESTION

What has God entrusted to me, and what might faithfulness look like now?

Busyness is not the same as faithfulness.

Faithfulness will not look identical for everyone. Your present season, responsibilities, capacity, and existing commitments matter. Sustainable boundaries can be part of wise stewardship.

QUESTIONS ARE WELCOME

What Do You Still Want to Understand?

Kingdom Voyage is also a place to ask honest questions. You do not need to have every question answered before taking your next step.

You may still have questions about theology, Vineyard distinctives, baptism, communion, church leadership, finances and giving, pastoral care, ministry philosophy, serving, or something else.

Keep the conversation going.

Some questions deserve more than a quick answer. If there is something you still want to understand, talk with one of our pastors or leaders so the conversation can continue.

BRING THE JOURNEY TOGETHER

My Next Faithful Step

You are not being asked to make a lifelong commitment today. You are being invited to notice what seems faithful now.

01

What have I discovered about myself?

02

How am I learning to live with Jesus?

03

Where do I sense God may be leading me?

04

What is one way I might serve or participate?

05

What is my next faithful step?

A good next step is:

  • concrete enough to act on;
  • appropriate to your present season;
  • freely chosen rather than pressured;
  • connected to a real person or opportunity when possible;
  • small enough that it can actually happen.
THE CLOSING QUESTION

Considering everything you have learned about Jesus, yourself, and Keys Vineyard, what is your next faithful step?

REMEMBER

Your Next Step May Not Be a Volunteer Role

For one person, the next faithful step may be serving. For another, it may be receiving care, developing a Christian practice, pursuing baptism, becoming more connected to Christian community, beginning a generosity rhythm, asking a difficult question, or exploring leadership.

FAITHFULNESS

The goal is not to get everyone doing more. The goal is to respond faithfully to Jesus with what He has actually entrusted to us.
